Overview

In the Thünen topic "Long-term Policy Concepts", we deal with all important policy areas that fall within the scope of the Thünen Institute. Our main focus is on:

  • Common Agricultural Policy
  • Animal welfare policy
  • Forest policy
  • Fisheries policy
  • Climate protection policy
  • Nature conservation policy
  • Rural development policy

We also look at the interactions between different policy fields. For example, we investigate the effects of the overall policy framework on rural development, and we address the national and international impacts of overarching policy concepts (e.g. Green Deal, Farm-to-Fork Strategy, Biodiversity Strategy 2030).
