16th European Workshop on Lignocellulosics and Pulp (EWLP)

From 28th June to 1st July 2022, after a long time, it was again possible for AB 2 members to present their work together with colleagues from the Institute of Wood Sciences (University of Hamburg) at the 16th European Workshop on Lignocellulosics and Pulp (EWLP) in summery Gothenburg. We presented recent findings on the topics of producing formaldehyde-free adhesives and foams from lignin, fractionation of enset plant (Ensete ventriscosum) fibers using steam pressure and soda pulping, and results on supercritical CO2 extraction of biomass-derived pyrolysis oil. During the week we listened to many exciting and inspiring lectures and had interesting technical discussions with international scientists.
