Research Data and Geodata

A well-structured and organised research data management (RDM) is gaining importance in times of steady digitisation and rapidly growing data volumes. Many areas of RDM require specialised expertise outside the respective research fields. Research data at the Thünen Institute often is also geodata, because it refers to locations on earth's surface. Geodata, e.g. from nationwide monitoring tasks, places very specific demands on collection, analysis, visualization, and publication.

The team Research Data and Geodata is part of the Centre for Information Management next to the division Information Technology and the Library. We support scientists throughout all phases of the research data life cycle.
