Klimahaus Expedition 2026

At selected stations along the eighth degree of longitude, renowned research institutes will be represented by researchers who will provide exclusive insights into the world of science and take you on an exciting voyage of discovery! Using interactive materials and real research exhibits, they encourage visitors to ask questions, join in the discussion and experience science first-hand.

Our colleagues Dr. Lara Kim Hünerlage and Dr. Sabrina Duncan will represent the Thünen Institute of Sea Fisheries. They are looking forward to answering the exciting questions of the Klimahaus visitors. They will talk about the work of the Thünen Institute and the challenges ahead in marine and fisheries research. They will also talk about their projects on the deep sea ('Live and let live in the eternal twilight') and changing habitats ('Our North Sea – a changing ecosystem'), so make sure you don't miss out!
