The Thünen Institute of Rural Studies offers internships for the following courses of study.

Bachelor’s and Master’s theses

Due to our broad research interests relating to living conditions in rural areas as well as to land use and resource protection in Germany, we are able to offer topics for Bachelor’s and Master’s theses for students from various disciplines.

PhD theses, doctorate

As a non-university research institution, the Thünen Institute itself does not have the right to award doctorates. This requires cooperation with a university or a university of applied sciences. In most cases, there is a supervisor at the Thünen Institute and, in addition, the university’s supervisor.
