Bachelor’s and Master’s theses

Due to our broad research interests relating to living conditions in rural areas as well as to land use and resource protection in Germany, we are able to offer topics for Bachelor’s and Master’s theses for students from various disciplines:

  • Agricultural Economics
  • Sociology
  • Economic and Social Geography
  • Environmental and Sustainability Sciences
  • Political Science
  • Landscape and Spatial planning and
  • neighbouring disciplines

Your own ideas and suggestions for theses are also very welcome. After consultation with your university supervisor You can send them to us at any time at lv@thuenen.de, preferably as a short application – consisting of one pdf document – with the following contents:

  • Covering letter (please also indicate which area of work or which project you are particularly interested in)
  • Curriculum vitae

There is also the opportunity of gaining practical experience as a student assistant. 

Scientists from our institute participate teaching at the universities of Hannover, Rostock, Halle-Wittenberg, Leipzig, Frankfurt/M. as well as at the University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg. Their tasks include supervising interns, student assistants, Bachelor’s, Master’s and doctoral students.
