The SURVEY project aims to demonstrate and test a supra-regional forest rainforest laboratory. This novel forest rainforest laboratory consists of a network of spatially distributed experimental areas (example areas Harz, Landshut/Lower Bavaria) of different intensity of use and investigation (intensive and satellite areas) and their digital images (digital twins). By linking them with model-based projections and additional geodata in data spaces and synthesis platforms, a supra-regional forest real laboratory for the spruce-dominated, heavily damage-exposed low mountain range with high transformation requirements is formed.
