Environmental Technology - Livestock husbandry

This field of activity has microbiological laboratories (S2) and test tubing systems for dust and bio-aerosols, as well as a multitude of systems for measurement and sampling of different air pollutants. Another test facility is located in a container on a farm at a chicken house. For evaluation and reduction of emissions we have a multitude of online measurement and sampling systems for different air pollutants.

Exhaust air treatment

Trace gases as methane, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, total organic carbon, oxygen, nitrogen monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, ammonia, hydrogen sulphide and particulate matter with particle size ranges are recorded and evaluated.

Characterization of gases, dust and bio-aerosols

Here you find information about the large technical equipment in the field of characterization of gases, dust and bio-aerosols. We have a microbiological laboratory (S2) and test tubing systems for dust and bio-aerosols, as well as a multitude of systems for measurement and sampling of different air pollutants. These include commercially available and certified systems as well as in-house developments.

Computational fluid dynamics

To solve computational fluid dynamics it is required to have appropriate hardware as well as software. At the institute a high performance PC is used which runs a simulation programme that is in service at industrial application too.
