A total of eleven scientists will discuss their findings and network with the international rural sociology community. The topics range from rural housing, political polarisation and rural development schemes to telemedical solutions, paludicultures in agrarian change and the teaching of rural sociology.

- Jens Jetzkowitz brings together researchers, working on the socio-ecological transformation of rural areas
- Together with Tialda Haartsen (University of Groningen), Aura Moldovan and Annett Steinführer, address the current challenges of rural housing provision
- Tuuli-Marja Kleiner, Larissa Deppisch and Jens Jetzkowitz are leading a working group on the politicisation of the urban-rural divide, together with Michael Konopski (Polish Academy of Sciences).
