Research results from the Thünen Institute at the 2022 OECD Rural Development Conference

At the 13th Rural Development Conference of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Jan Cornelius Peters presented research results on the spatial mobility of young workers.

This year's OECD Rural Development Conference was held in Cavan, Ireland, 28-30 September 2022, under the theme "Building sustainable, resilient and thriving rural places." The conference was attended by ministers, other high-level policy makers, academics and numerous rural development practitioners from 30 OECD member countries.
In a session on "Strategies to Empower, Attract and Keep Youth in Rural Areas", Jan Cornelius Peters presented new research findings on graduate location choice and the internal migration of young workers in Germany from the project "The spatial mobility of workers in the course of individual working lives - Analyses for rural areas in Germany" (MobiLä).
