DIY Stores tested

The German television channel NDR tested in its magazine MARKT (broadcasted on November 9, 2020) how good the advice was when buying FSC-certified decking boards in the DIY stores OBI, Bauhaus and Hornbach.

This study explores what drives household deforestation decisions in the lowland rainforest frontiers, with emphasis on the institutional environment (conservation strategies, titling, and governmental grants for poverty alleviation) and the quality of forest resources (timber volume potential).
