Dr. Paola Pozo Inofuentes - new staff member

Since October, Dr. Paola Pozo Inofuentes is member of our team of research scientists in the ‘Forests and Society’ department.

Dr. Paola Pozo Inofuentes is member of the BioMonUruguay project team. For the first monitoring of the Uruguayan bioeconomy she quantifies major bio-based material flows and assesses sustainability effects associated with these material flows.

She holds a Master’s degree in Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology with specialization in Tropical and International Forestry from University of Göttingen. Recently she completed her PhD studies at the Technical University of Berlin with an analysis of the forestry sector in Uruguay and the development of strategies to engineer more sustainable, productive and biodiversity friendly forest landscapes.

Dr. Pozo worked in various international and interdisciplinary projects in Europe and Latin America and conducted fieldwork in Bolivia, Peru, Uruguay, Vietnam and Germany.
