In the context of the EUDR Effects Project a new MoU has been signed with both partners to foster collaboration in evaluating modes of implementation and effects of the new EU Regulation on deforestation free value chains (EUDR) in Paraguay.
The Ministry is responsible for the implementation of the new regulation in the country, whereas the university supports through legal analysis and the creation of the necessary traceability platforms.
The intensified collaboration builds the basis for the Thünen project to evaluate effects in the country specifically related to cattle and soy supply chains. This information is needed in the EU to monitor and further develop the regulation.
