David Schicketanz - new staff member

Since February 2023, David Schicketanz has been joining our team as a research assistant in the fields of activity "Forestry in Germany" in the project "Remote sensing based National Detection Sytem for Forest Damages".

David Schicketanz is working in the project "Remote sensing based National Detection Sytem for Forest Damages (FNEWS)". The aim of the project is the establishment of a national remote sensing-based recording system for forest damage. At the Thünen Institute of Forestry the evaluation of the detected forest damages as well as the analysis of possible influencing factors on market reactions after calamities will be carried out. The analysis of these influencing factors will be the focus of David Schicketanz's work.

David Schicketanz obtained his Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in "Forstwissenschaften" at the Technical University of Dresden. Subsequently, he studied at the University of Hamburg in the program "Wood Science" (M.Sc.).
