Jana Tillmann is working on the project AnAKHon (“Incentive effects, acceptance, and climate effectiveness of different remuneration options for climate protection in forestry”). The project investigates the land potential for various climate protection measures in forests and other land-use types, the conditions under which landowners are willing to implement such measures, and the associated costs as well as climate mitigation potential.

Extending this line of research, Jana Tillmann is devoting her master’s thesis to the decision-making structures and acceptance factors of climate protection support programs specifically in municipal forests. Her work at the Institute combines the completion of her two master’s degrees in Environmental and Resource Economics (M.Sc.) as well as Environmental Management (M.Sc.) at Kiel University (Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel). Previously, she completed her bachelor’s degree in Economics (B.Sc.) at Maastricht University.
