Conducting international and multidisciplinary workshop "Participatory and Cross-Scale Modeling of Social-Ecological Systems"

Melvin Lippe from the fields of activity Forestry Worldwide, organized together with colleagues from the University of Oxford, University of Surrey and Anglia Ruskin University (all UK), and Groningen University, Netherlands, an international and multidisciplinary workshop on participatory and cross-scale modeling of social-ecological systems, held at the Lorentz Centre at Leiden University.

The workshop was financially supported by the Netherlands Research Council (NWO-Dutch Research Council) and Leiden University. The aim of the workshop was to exchange and further develop existing model approaches to better support decision-making processes and policy recommendations by such approaches.
A total of 28 participants from the US, EU, and Australia attended. The workshop was conducted in a hybrid format. Results of the workshop shall be published in a Special Issue of the Journal Social-Ecological Systems Modelling (SESMO) in 2023.
