From 2-6 May 2022 the XV World Forestry Congress took place in Seoul, Korea. It was hosted by the Government of the Republic of Korea and supported by FAO, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

Our Institute of Forestry has contributed to a successful congress via a bundle of accepted scientific input. We have conducted an own side event on landscape forestry in the tropics together with our partners from Ecuador, the Philippines and Zambia, have been invited as panellists in 4 different sessions, gave 6 selected oral presentations, exhibited 3 posters and published 7 conference papers.

In addition to our support to the congress in terms of scientific based feed-in, the congress also provided valuable insights in recent forestry and forest policy developments on a global level.
