Pierre Herrmann - new staff member

Since mid-April, Pierre Herrmann strengthens our team in the working group Forests and Society.

In the „BioNET“ project, he is investigating the potential of biobased Negative Emission Technologies from a forest economic perspective. For this purpose, a multilevel assessment is carried out, in which different silvicultural management options at stand level and their effects on carbon stocks and substitution potentials are analysed, taking into account the respective production risks.

Mr. Pierre Herrmann holds a Master degree from Kiel University in Environmental and Resource Economics Previously, he worked for several years as a sales manager for a private sector company, which took him from Mexico to El Salvador and Paraguay to almost every Latin American country.
