Scientific background

Since February 2022: Scientist (PhD-student) at the Thünen Institute of Baltic Sea Fisheries. STELLA project: “Development and testing of alternative fishing gears to reduce the bycatch of Harbour porpoises and seabirds in the western Baltic Sea”.

10/2021-01/2022: Marine Mammal Research Assistant at Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation (Greece).

07-08/2021: participate in the PEARLNET_OP Project: "Gillnet modifications to reduce bycatch of Harbour Porpoises” (Thünen Institute).

02/2021-06/2021: Marine Mammal Research Assistant at SECAC: Society for the Study of Cetaceans in the Canary Archipelago (Spain).

10/2015-09/2016:  Master in Conservation, Restoration and Management of Biodiversity, University of Granada, Spain. Thesis: Diversity in the arthropod fauna of the Milieu Souterrain Superficiel (MSS) of the high mountain.

10/2009 - 06/2015 - Bachelor in Biology, University of Granada, Spain. Student assistant in the department of animal physiology. Thesis: Probiotic role of lactic acid bacteria in the liver.
