Fishermen wanted for measurements along the Baltic Sea coast

The Baltic Sea is changing. In order to record relevant water parameters in coastal areas, we are looking for fishing companies equipped with our HyFive system to carry out regular measurements at fixed stations.

The Thünen Institute of Baltic Sea Fisheries is conducting a market survey until the end of September to find interested fishing companies that would like to participate. Data collection will take place weekly at fixed transects with 6 to 10 stations each. At each station, the measuring probe, which is attached to a rope, will be slowly lowered to the seabed. This will allow hydrographic parameters such as water temperature, salinity and oxygen to be measured across the entire water column.
