2003 – 2012: Laboratory Assistent at Dr. Baermann & Partner, Mikroanalytics, Hamburg (starting as student-assisstant, regular employment after the study)

2005 – 2010: Student assisstant, e.g. at Thünen Institute of Sea Fisheries, IfM-GEOMAR, Max-Planck-Institute for meteorology, KlimaCampus, University of Hamburg, Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt DBU and the State Office for Mining, Energy and Geology (lower Saxony)

2008 – 2010:  Master of Science at the institute for Hydrobiology and Fisheries Sciences at the University of Hamburg. Master Thesis: “Feasibility of larval otolith-microincrements, -shape and nucleus-size as a method for discrimination between autumn- and winter spawned North Sea Herring (Clupea harengus, L.).”

2005 – 2008:  Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Hamburg Bachelor-Thesis: „Horizontal variability in the egg-distribution of small pelagic fish in the German Bight depending on the hydrographic condition.”
