Rostock´s Eleven – Competition, Science & Communication

Chickens, worms, language, solar winds, visible music, baking powder or AI - the range of this year's Rostock's Eleven competition is impressive.

This time, twelve candidates from ten scientific institutions in the Rostock region will be giving their presentations at the Research Institute for Farm Animal Biology (FBN) in Dummerstorf.

Thaya Dinkel is throwing her hat into the ring for the Thünen Institute of Baltic Sea Fisheries. With her lecture „I see something you don't see - What we learn about porpoises using different methods“, she will provide exciting insights into her doctoral thesis.

With the annual Rostock's Eleven workshop, Rostock showcases the capabilities of its science. Coordinated by the association, eleven science journalists from all over Germany gain an intensive insight into the research of young scientists and the highly innovative research projects of the participating scientific institutions. If you are a journalist and would like to be part of the jury, please get in touch.
