Expert meeting on EU Fisheries Data Collection

STECF experts meet in Hamburg to support the European Commission in reaching the next round of the EU Data Collection Framework (DCF).

From 23 to 27 November 2015, about 30 experts of the Scientific, Technical and Economic Committee for Fisheries (STECF) meet at the Thünen Institute in Hamburg to support the European Commission in relation to the revision of the Fisheries Data Collection Framework (DCF) with scientific advice.

The Terms of Reference include the following topics:

  • Evaluation of National Programmes 2016
  • Revision of guidelines, templates and evaluation of DCF Annual Reports
  • Improvement of data end-user feedback on data transmission
  • Comments on a revised EU Multi-annual Programme (EU MAP) for Data Collection
  • Preparation of National Workplans for Data Collection
