since 2013: Scientist at the Thünen-Institute of Sea Fisheries  

since 2008: Doctoral studies in limnology at the University of Vienna, Austria. Doctoral thesis: “Polyunsaturated fatty acids, methyl mercury, and somatic growth condition of farm-raised common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.)”

2008 – 2012: Scientist, Aquatic Lipid and Ecotoxicology Research Group (LIPTOX), WasserCluster Lunz - Biologische Station GmbH, Lunz am See, Austria. Project: FWF-project L516-B17 “Dietary effects on fatty acids and methyl mercury in common carp“  

2000 – 2007: Studies in biology (hydrobiology and fisheries science) at the University of Hamburg. Diploma thesis: "Gut content analyses of larval smelt (Osmerus eperlanus Linnaeus, 1758) and twaite shad (Alosa fallax Lacépède, 1803)" (in German).
