Within the project InA-PW, Johannes Stockmann deals with the typologization of small private forest in Germany and the identification of the factors influencing the organizational choices of small private forest owners.

The research of this sub-project is based on the in-depth analysis of a representative survey of private forest owners in Germany from 2017. Numerous data were collected on, for example, forest owner’s life situation, goals and attitudes, realized actions and willingness to act in forest ownership in the future, knowledge structure and communication, general forest structure as well as on consulting and support services.

Johannes Stockmann completed his master's degree at the Georg-August-University of Göttingen with a focus on "Forest Management and Forest Utilization". Afterwards he worked as a research assistant at the Northwest German Forest Research Institute and at the Department of Forest Economics and Sustainable Land-Use Planning at the Georg-August-University of Göttingen.
