Friederike Rorig - new staff member

Since mid-August, Friederike Rorig supports our team in the working area ‘Forest and Society’.

Friederike Rorig takes over the previous tasks of Dr. Kristin Franz for the 5-State-Evaluation of the rural development programmes according to Regulation (EC) 1305/2013, focusing on the evaluation of the forest related measures. She examines the effects of the measures on biodiversity, water, soil and climate protection and on competitiveness of forest enterprises.

Furthermore, she analyzes the implementation procedures to recognize if there are implementation obstacles. Friederike Rorig completed her master’s degree in Sustainability Science at the Leuphana University. Before that she concluded her bachelor studies at the same University in Environmental Science. To expand her expertise, she studied Wood Economics and Wood Science at the University of Hamburg.
