Ferdinand Peters - new staff member

Since July Ferdinand Peters is member of our team Forestry Worldwide of the Thünen Institute of International Forestry and Forest Economics.

Ferdinand Peters will work in the project „Laforet - Landscape Forestry in the Tropics” with focus on forest inventories and remote sensing for the countries Ecuador, Sambia and the Philippines.

Ferdinand Peters has a Master from the University of Freiburg in „Forest Ecology and Management“ and a Bachelor from the University of Wageningen in „International Land and Water Management“. In the last two years he worked in various projects in Ecuador in the environmental field such as forest inventories and the identification of high conservation value areas. Additionally he has collected various experiences in internships with the German Development Service in in Namibia, CIFOR in Indonesia and GIZ in Bangladesh.
