David Schicketanz will work on the project "AnAKHon" ("Incentive Effects, Acceptance, and Climate Impact of Different Remuneration Options for Climate Protection in Forestry"). The aim here is to determine the available land potential for various climate protection measures in forests, as well as in other land use types; to what extent and under what conditions landowners are willing to implement these measures; and which costs and climate protection potentials can be assigned to them.

Previously, David Schicketanz worked as a researcher in the "Forestry in Germany" working group at our institute on the "FNEWs" project (Remote Sensing-Based National Damage Assessment System for Forests). He holds a B.Sc. in Forestry from the Technical University of Dresden and an M.Sc. in Wood Science from the University of Hamburg.
