Cooperation with the Yunnan Academy of Forestry will continue

The Institute of International Forestry and Forest Economics holds contact with the Yunnan Academy of Forestry in Kunming/China and is executing an exchange programme with their scientists since 2001.

The cooperation is focusing on scientific approaches and practical experiences for the rehabilitation of degraded forests. Recently the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food has granted the continuation of the cooperation for another 2 years. The annual exchanges will be funded through the cooperation programme “German – Chinese Cooperation in the Fields of Agrarian Research” which is facilitated by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
