He earned a Master of Science degree in Applied Economics from Osnabrück University. To simulate the impacts on global forest products markets, Christian Morland is integrating the European Union Timber Regulation (EUTR) and the United Nations Programme 'Reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation and the role of conversation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of forest carbon stocks in developing countries' (REDD+) into the Global Forests Product Model (GFPM).
