VdFF-prices for two young scientists of the Baltic Sea Fisheries Institute

The Federation of German fisheries Administrators and Fisheries Scientists (VdFF) awarded a development prize for Simon Weltersbach. Stefanie Haase won the “best poster” award.

Stefanie Haase won the “best poster” award for her poster “Elderly and children first! Development of a new selectivity concept in trawl fisheries".

The Federation of German fisheries Administrators and Fisheries Scientists (VdFF) awarded a development prize for Simon Weltersbach, Ph.D.-student at the Institute of Baltic Sea Fisheries, for his work on survival rates of cod discarded by anglers in the Baltic Sea. He presented his work at the German Fishers’ Federation Annual Summit (“Deutscher Fischereitag”) in Rostock today. Stefanie Haase, student within our fishing technology group, won the “best poster” award for her poster “Elderly and children first! Development of a new selectivity concept in trawl fisheries” (in German).
