How to find Hamburg-Bergedorf
The Thünen Institutes of Wood Research and of Forestry are located in Hamburg-Bergedorf (Leuschnerstraße 91, Telephone: +49 40 73962 0).
Coming from the north or the south: Autobahn A 1 to the Hamburg-Billstedt exit. From there turn right onto the B 5 towards Bergedorf/Geesthacht, after about 2.5 km (2nd light) turn left into the Reinbeker Redder Straße, then after 1 km left into the Korachstraße (2nd street on the right) and then right into the Leuschnerstraße. The entrance of the Thünen location is 600 meters further on, on the right hand side.
Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), then take the S2 tram line (towards Bergedorf) or the S21 (towards Aumühle) to the Bergedorf station. Travel time is about 20 Minutes.
Within Hamburg, you can also reach the Leuschnerstraße by bus (Line 234, Plettenbergstraße bus stop).
