Lauritz Schrader - new staff member

Since November 2021, Lauritz Schrader has been working as a doctoral student at the Thünen Institute and is primarily researching the biocoenoses of wood-destroying fungi and bacteria on built-up wood, but also on dead wood lying in the forest.

Lauritz Schrader studied forestry at the Technical University of Dresden and became a research associate at the Institute of Forest Botany after his studies. During the whole time he was mainly active in the field of phytopathology and investigated wood-destroying fungi as well as other plant-parasitic microorganisms. Later, drought stress on urban woody plants was added as another field of research.
