  • 2014-2019: Scientist at the University of Bremen, Bremen International Graduate School for Marine Sciences at the Center for Marine Environmental Sciences (GLOMAR/ MARUM) and in the work group Marine Zoology.
  • 2010-2014: Scientist with Avitec-Research GbR in Osterholz-Scharmbeck. Consultancy office with focus on the effects of offshore wind farms on migrating birds and remote sensing techniques for investigating of bird migration • 2009: Scientist at the Helgoland Marine Station (BAH) of the Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Center for Polar and Marine Research (AWI).
  • 2005-2009: PhD in Marine Biology and Ecology at the BAH and the AWI with Prof. Dr. H.-D. Franke, and at the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS), Scotland, U.K. with Dr. E.J. Cook. PhD Thesis: Mechanisms of a successful immigration from northeast Asia: population dynamics, life history traits and interspecific interactions in the caprellid amphipod Caprella mutica Schurin, 1935 (Crustacea, Amphipoda) in European coastal water.
