Scientific background

since 2006: Research associate at the Thünen Institute of Baltic Sea Fisheries with various tasks: project staff, project leader, research funding, responsible for recreational fishery data collection within the European DCF 

2003 - 2006: PhD degree (Dr. rer. agr) at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, Integrated Natural Resources Management of Coastal Fisheries in Nha Phu Lagoon, Vietnam  

2000 - 2003: Masters degree (M.Sc.) International Agricultural Science (major), International Agricultural Development (minor) at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, An Economic Assessment on Restocking Sandfish. The Example Nha Trang/Vietnam, Study visits and internships in The Gambia, Ethiopia, Malaysia and Vietnam  

2000: Employee at the Chamber of Agriculture Rheinland, Straelen, Pest monitoring, Extension in biological pest control in greenhouse horticulture

1995-1999: Engineering degree (Dipl.-Ing (FH)) Agriculture (major), Landscape Conservation (minor) at the Nürtingen-Geislingen University, Spinnenbestandsaufnahme im Gewächshaus zum Vergleich der biologisch und integriert wirtschaftenden Betriebe, sowie die Untersuchung des Einflusses der Seenähe auf die Spinnenfauna, Study visits and internships in England and Germany
