EU fisheries experts meet in Hamburg

An EU fisheries expert group is being held at the Thünen Institute of Sea Fisheries in Hamburg-Altona from the 13th to 17th of November 2017. The meeting is organized by the European Commission in the frame of the Scientific, Technical and Economic Committee for Fisheries (STECF). Invited experts from 15 EU Member States will evaluate amendments of the National Work Plans of the EU Member States under the DCF (fisheries Data Collection Framework). This will be done under the chairmanship of the German STECF Member Dr. Christoph Stransky in cooperation with members of the European Commission. Furthermore, guidelines and formats for the DCF Annual Reports as well as quality issues of the fisheries data collection in general will be discussed
