The Field Laboratory "Drylab"

The "Drylab" is an experimental laboratory to assess the reaction of young forest tress to drought under free land conditions. Scientists of the Thünen Institute for Forest Ecosystems take the example of young red beech trees from Germany and Poland to simulate an important effect of climate change – the increasing summer drought.
