  • Planning, coordination and implementation of the recreational fisheries data collection within the German Marine Angling Program (DMAP)
  • Development and implementation of probability-based recreational fisheries surveys, e.g. telephone and diary surveys, access point and roving creel surveys, digital camera monitoring
  • Development and implementation of "Catch & Release" experiments for recreationally caught fish in the field and laboratory
  • Collection and compilation of recreational and commercial fisheries data for the stock assessments of Baltic salmon and sea trout ("Stock coordinator")
  • Investigation and development of management strategies for recreational fisheries
  • Advisory services for regional and federal ministries and European committees
  • Contribution to ICES committees  (WGRFS, WGBAST, WGTRUTTA, WGMEDS)
