At the Institute of International Forestry and Forest Economics of the Johann Heinrich von Thünen Institute, Federal Research Institute for Rural Areas, Forestry and Fisheries a fixed-term position
a scientist (m/f/d)
is to be filled earliest for the duration of three years in the working area Forest and Society.
The position provides the opportunity for post-doc qualification as a policy adviser in state or federal agencies as well as in applied sciences. It is a fixed-term employment according to § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 2 Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz.
The Thünen Institute is a Federal Research Institute in the portfolio of the Federal Ministry for Food and Agriculture (BMEL). Its task is to develop scientific decision support for politics and to expand knowledge for the benefit of the common good. The working area of forest and society examines and assesses the costs and benefits as well as the sustainability of the multiple benefits of forests.

The salary is based on the collective agreement for civil service (TVÖD). Depending on the fulfilment of personal and tariff requirements the salary is conform to level E13 TVÖD. In general, part-time employment is possible.
