The Institute of Fisheries Ecology at the Johann Heinrich von Thünen Institute, Federal Research Institute for Rural Areas, Forestry and Fisheries, in Bremerhaven is offering a fulltime position for a
Senior Scientist (f/m/d)
as head of the Working Group on Fish Diseases. The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
Studies on the occurrence and causes of fish diseases play a major role in research on the marine environment, aquaculture and biodiversity within the scope of the Thünen Institute of Fishery Ecology. An established and internationally coordinated monitoring program on environmental stress mediated fish diseases in the North and Baltic Seas, including histopathological investigations, shall be continued and, if necessary, developed further. Additional research topics addressing the above-mentioned work areas shall be elaborated.
