Starting from 2017, biofuels have to achieve 50% greenhouse gas (GHG)  emission savings. The cultivation of rapeseed is a significant contributor tot he GHG balance of rapeseed biodiesel. We investigate regional differences of rape seed cultivation. Regionalised environmental impacts of rapeseed production are calculated for five locations in Germany using a life cycle approach.
