How to find Hamburg-Rothenburgsort


A satellite office of the Thünen Institute for Fishery Ecology is located in Hamburg-Rothenburgsort (Marckmannstraße 129 b, House 4, Telephone: +49 40 42817 610).

Travelling by car

From the south:
Autobahn A 1 to the Hamburg-Süd Junction, change to A 255 (heading toward HH Centrum/ HH Veddel/ HH Georgswerder). Continue 1 km on the B 4/B 75, over the Hamburg Veddel exit towards Rothenburgsort (B 4) (Veddeler Brückenstraße), bear right into the Billhorner Röhrendamm (becomes the Vierländer Damm). Turn left into the Thiedingreihe and drive directly to the entrance of the property at the Marckmannstraße. (No parking for private vehicles on the property).

From the north:
A 7 exit Bahrenfeld, left onto the B 431 (Bahrenfelder Chausee) and continue straight on. At the Stresemannstraße the B 431 becomes the B 4, which crosses directly through the city for about 11 km. After the Deichtortunnel turn right into the Amsinckstraße, Exit towards Billhorner Röhrendamm, turn right into the Billhorner Röhrendamm, and continue on the Vierländer Damm. Turn left into Thiedingreihe and drive directly to the entrance of the property at the Marckmannstraße. (No parking for private vehicles on the property).

Travelling by train

Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), from there with the tram S21 (towards Bergedorf or Aumühle) to the Rothenburgsort Station (travel time 5 minutes), turn left in the Billhorner Deich, and then again left into the Marckmannstraße (about a ten minute walk). The second entrance to the building is on the left, it is the second building on the right hand side.
